It would probably be good to break this talk down into first an intro to rust, then an intro to web assembly, and finally a talk about Rust+WASM
The Manning talk on Rust might be a good introduction to rust.

Lin Clark also has an Intro to WebAssembly at JSConf
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HktWin_LPf4
Alternatively we can go back to some old Rust for Rubyist talks

This one might be really cool to watch once we have a good talk on Web Assembly.
WASI provides a lot of advantages of Docker without any of the overhead of running a virtual machine by being sandboxed assembly.
Lin Clark's talk on on WASI is pretty good.

She probably has a better high level 3 minute intro to WASI from Mozilla's announcement.

Another really aspect of Rust is that you can use Parcel to drop in Rust and it will import to JavaScript with no configuration.
WASM Pack is also super cool.
